Bridge of Kamara. Elbasan

The Bridge of Kamares is an Ottoman bridge located over the Shkumbin River in the village of Mirakë in Elbasan, Albania. Its been build in the 1600 and its belived that it was archictetured by an albanian architect Kasem Imari

This bridges position is very strategic because its path croses the antique, Egnatia road. It has stood the test of time. Its locadet about 20 minutes from Elbasan along the Elbasan-Librazhdi road.

The bridge played a key role in the ancient Egnatia road, marking an important transport and trade connection during its era. Recognizing its historical value, the bridge was declared a cultural monument in 1963.
